| DESCRIPTION |
Ethyl acetate is a clear, colorless, volatile liquid with a pleasant fruity and slightly acetic odor, has a pleasant taste when diluted. Mechanical impurities are absent. It is a moderately polar solvent product with ester properties. It can be dissolved in methylcarbinol, ethyl ether, benzene, methyltrichloride, methylbenzene and some other organic solvents. As for water, the dilution is weaker. It also acts as a solvent on cellulose ethers, oil-based resin varnishes, fats and waxes. |
